9 Japanese Scrolls hanging on a wall

Please join Christina Taylor (HAM), Deborah LaCamera (Studio TKM) and Amanda Hegarty (HL) for a brown bag presentation on the workshop, “The Construction of Japanese Scrolls,” taught by Yoshi Nishio, of Nishio Conservation Studio at NEDCC and co-sponsored by the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation. During this week-long hands-on workshop, participants constructed scrolls using Japanese techniques, tools and materials. Many of these elegant and environmentally sound techniques are very useful components to add to western conservators’ toolkits.
