Digital Preservation Reading Club

Date and Time

January 29, 2020
12:00PM - 01:00PM EST

Location

Widener Library Room 145; HUID required to enter Widener

You are cordially invited to kick off the year with our first monthly meeting of the Digital Preservation Reading Club. We have previously hosted these informal conversations once a year, and we are looking forward to establishing them as a monthly ritual - a chance for anyone in our community that is interested in digital preservation (or thematically relevant content) to connect on current scholarship in an informal, lunch-munching environment. We have a couple of reading selections in the queue, and future reading nominations are open to anyone via the form on the wiki.

Our first reading selection of the year will be a 2019 paper published in The American Archivist - and co-written by one of our own Harvard Library colleagues, Keith Pendergrass - "Toward Environmentally Sustainable Digital Preservation."

So grab your lunch and join us on Wednesday, January 29th from noon-1pm in Widener Room 145 for this opportunity to talk with your mouth open and chew with your mouth closed!
