Temporary display of flat textiles, such as quilts, flags, embroideries, and lace, is a challenge faced by museum and library staff. Learning what technique is best for each textile is essential to safe and attractive exhibition of these often fragile and large items. Amanda Hegarty recently attended a workshop on “Safe Display of Flat Textiles” taught by Camille Myers Breeze at the JFK Library (sponsored by the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies). Please bring your lunch and join us for Amanda’s review of the high points of the workshop.
