Recycling & Disposing of AV Materials at Harvard
Date and Time
Location
Did you know that nearly all types of audiovisual media and their enclosures are classified as “e-waste” and cannot be recycled through City of Boston or Cambridge curbside recycling? Fortunately, Harvard Recycling & Waste Services is here to help! Please join us for an informal presentation on how to safely and securely recycle or dispose of a wide variety of audiovisual materials, including audio and videotapes, motion picture film, CDs and DVDs, vinyl records, and more. Rob Gogan (Harvard Recycling & Waste Services), Amy Sloper (Harvard Film Archive), Robert Vaszari (Media Preservation Services), and Elizabeth Walters (Preservation Services) will be on hand to lead the discussion and answer your questions.
Feel free to bring your lunch.
NOTE: This event has been rescheduled from the previous date of September 18, 2019.
Open to the Harvard Community. HUID required for building access.
Hosted by Harvard Library Preservation Services.
