Welcome New Staff: Melanie Meents

We are pleased to welcome Melanie Meents to Media Preservation Services as the Senior Time-Based Media Conservator. Time-based media includes film, video, audio, and digital media and can deteriorate more quickly than other formats.

Melanie leads our motion picture film and video preservation program that focuses on rare and unique materials, and she’ll help ensure that our services adapt to the ever-changing needs of Harvard Library and its patrons.

Melanie comes to us from the Wilson Special Collections Library at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where she worked as the Audiovisual Archives Assistant. She has a strong background in archiving work that includes outreach and education in the local community. We’re thrilled to have her on our team!
