Over two weeks in September, conservator Katherine Beaty attended a full immersion course on Italian archival bindings in Recanati, Italy. She visited numerous state and private archives, constructed a historical model, and mastered different restoration techniques for leather archival bindings. During this talk, Katherine will share images from her workshop and travels, and a hands-on practicum will be available to attendees.
