To help Repositories preserve content of vulnerable and/or high-use physical media in many formats, several Harvard Library departments offer the following digitization services:

Still digital capture of paper documents, books, photographs, manuscripts, artwork, and other non-time-based media: [Imaging Services](https://imaging.library.harvard.edu/) (a unit of Harvard Library [Digital Strategies and Innovation](https://staff.library.harvard.edu/digital-strategies-and-innovation))

Digitization of time-based media including audio-recordings, videorecordings, and motion picture film: [Media Preservation](/media-preservation)

Some library materials need physical and intellectual preparation prior to digitization. For related services, see [Preparation for digitization](/digitization-prep).
